Last week we explored how to unlock your path to purpose through Divine Connectors. These are people God place in our lives to guide us to pivotal opportunities.
In this post, we’ll delve into two more categories of Destiny Helpers: Gifted Persons and Influencers. These individuals play essential roles in helping us achieve our goals and fulfill our God-given purpose.
Gifted persons: Talents that propel you forward
Gifted persons are invaluable assets in your journey toward success. With their unique talents and expertise, they bring solutions, simplify complex tasks, and elevate your efforts.
Here’s why they stand out:
- Skilled and resourceful: Their talent and experience provide a significant advantage, turning challenges into manageable opportunities.
- Positive and pleasant: Gifted persons tackle tasks with confidence and enthusiasm, avoiding complaints or negativity.
- Loyal and trustworthy: They support you without exposing your flaws or undermining your efforts, even when mistakes happen.
- Team players: These helpers focus on collaboration, never seeking to overthrow or outshine you.
- Quick learners: They grasp assignments effortlessly, ensuring smooth execution and remarkable results.
Here’s a biblical example of a gifted person:
Bezalel: A divine craftsman who brought vision to life
He played a crucial role in constructing the Tabernacle, standing out not only for his skills but also for his divine empowerment. The Bible describes him as being “filled with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and all kinds of craftsmanship.”
His talents covered a wide range of areas, such as artistic mastery, metallurgical expertise, jewelry precision and woodworking skills. Remarkably, Bezalel grasped the complex and detailed designs God gave to Moses, bringing them to life. He was supported by other skilled artisans, who, under his guidance, made the monumental task of building the Tabernacle achievable.
Bezalel’s story reminds us of the power of God-given talent and teamwork in fulfilling even the most daunting assignments.Exodus 31:1-10 (NKJV)
Having gifted persons in your corner ensures you’re not only supported but also propelled toward excellence. With their dedication and competence, your success becomes inevitable. Surround yourself with these destiny helpers, and watch how they transform your journey!
Influencers: Advocates in high places
Influencers are strategically positioned individuals who can advocate for you at critical moments. They have the power to mention your name in places that matter, leading to recognition, favor, and life-changing opportunities.
Key characteristics of influencers:
- Positioned in the corridors of power with the ability to influence decisions.
- Serve as catalysts for rapid breakthroughs, as seen in Amos 9:13 (MSG):
“Yes, it won’t be long, God’s decree: Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once – and everywhere you look, blessings!”
Below are biblical examples of influencers:
- Joseph and the chief butler: While imprisoned, Joseph interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s Chief Butler and Chief Baker. The Butler was restored to his position as Joseph predicted but forgot Joseph’s plea to mention him to Pharaoh. Two years later, when Pharaoh had troubling dreams no one could interpret, the Butler finally remembered Joseph. Joseph not only explained the dreams but proposed a plan to manage Egypt’s coming years of abundance and famine. Impressed, Pharaoh elevated Joseph from prisoner to second-in-command. The Chief Butler was a pivotal destiny helper, connecting Joseph to his purpose and transforming his life. Genesis 40:1-23; 41:1-45 (NKJV)
Key lesson: Kindness matters, even in hardship. The person you help today might hold the key to your breakthrough tomorrow.
- Mordecai – a life transformed: One sleepless night, the king ordered the book of records to be read aloud. The entry revealed Mordecai’s past act of loyalty in exposing a plot to assassinate the king. Surprised, the king asked if Mordecai had been rewarded. When the servants replied, “Nothing has been done for him,” the king immediately elevated Mordecai to a high-ranking position in the empire. In an instant, Mordecai’s life changed from sitting at the king’s gate to becoming a powerful official. (Esther 6:1-11)
No matter your situation, maintain a positive mindset and trust that your good deeds will not go unnoticed. Pray for your “Book of Remembrance” to be opened and for God to connect you with destiny helpers who will guide you toward your breakthrough.
The flip side: Detractors in power
While some influencers can elevate your destiny, others can instigate your downfall. Pray to avoid such individuals in your space.
Here are a few examples of detractors from the scripture:
- Memucan: The king, enraged by Queen Vashti’s refusal to obey his command, sought counsel from the wise men of his court. Memucan advised that Vashti be dethroned, a suggestion that pleased the king and his officials. Following Memucan’s advice, Vashti was removed as queen, paving the way for Esther to ascend to the throne. Esther 1:14-21 (NKJV)
- Herodias: Herodias, formerly married to King Herod’s brother Philip, became Herod’s wife after Philip’s death. John the Baptist openly condemned their union, leading to his arrest and imprisonment. During Herod’s birthday feast, Herodias’s daughter performed a dance that delighted the king. Pleased, Herod offered to grant her any request. At her mother’s urging, she demanded John the Baptist’s head on a platter. Despite his regret, Herod fulfilled the request, and John was executed. Herodias orchestrated the events that led to John the Baptist’s death. Matthew 14:1-12 (NKJV)
Gifted persons and influencers are vital destiny helpers, but discernment and prayer are essential to identify and connect with them. At the same time, remain vigilant against detractors who could derail your progress.
Make it a habit to cultivate kindness and humility; you never know who may become your destiny helper. Also, pray for God to align you with the right influencers and open your Book of Remembrance.
God’s strategy is always perfect, and His helpers will arrive at the appointed time. You just need to remain connected to Him so that you don’t miss or extend his divine timeline.
Remember, you might be someone’s destiny helper, so don’t hesitate to step up when it’s your turn to pay it forward. And if you’re in a position to advocate, strive to uplift others rather than becoming a detractor who hinders their progress. Your actions could shape someone’s journey for better or worse.
